BJP's Manoj Tiwari Challenges Arvind Kejriwal Over 'Fake Voter' Remarks
In New Delhi, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari helped release BJP workers detained for organizing the 'Purvanchal Samman March' outside AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal's residence. The protest was in response to Kejriwal's comments about 'fake voters' from UP and Bihar. Tiwari accused Kejriwal of disrespecting people from these regions and vowed to take the protest across Delhi. He questioned AAP leader Sanjay Singh's stance, as Singh is from Purvanchal.
Earlier, BJP workers marched from Ashoka Road to Kejriwal's residence, protesting his alleged remarks. The police used water cannons to disperse them and detained several workers. Tiwari criticized Kejriwal for calling people from UP and Bihar 'fake' and accused him of making false promises. AAP MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj countered, questioning Tiwari's past actions regarding Purvanchal issues.
JDU's Sanjay Kumar Jha also criticized Kejriwal, demanding an apology for his remarks. The controversy began after AAP raised concerns with the Election Commission about voter irregularities in New Delhi, citing a surge in voter registrations and deletions.
