Baloch National Movement Remembers Shamsar Tragedy in Panjgur
The Baloch National Movement (BNM) in Panjgur, Balochistan, held a ceremony to commemorate the first anniversary of the Shamsar tragedy. Speakers at the event recalled the tragic incident and accused the Pakistan Army of committing crimes against the Baloch people, including forced disappearances and killings.
On January 18, 2024, an airstrike by the Pakistan Army in Shamsar resulted in the death of Ali Dost, known as Chairman Dosta, and his family. The victims included his wife Shazia, their three-month-old son Chirag, five-year-old son Babar, and seven-year-old daughter Hani Dost. Additionally, four members of another Baloch activist family, Farhad, Mahzeb, Mahikan, and Najma, were also killed.
BNM members highlighted the sacrifices made by the Baloch people in their struggle for freedom. They emphasized that Chairman Dosta was a dedicated activist who supported various organizations and was committed to the national movement. The event featured revolutionary poetry and songs to honor the Baloch martyrs.
