In the past week, more than 200 Pakistani nationals have been deported from several countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United States. These deportations were due to issues such as visa violations, legal problems, and human trafficking.
A total of 220 Pakistanis were sent back from countries like the US, China, Turkey, Zimbabwe, and Senegal. Upon arrival in Karachi, twelve individuals were arrested. Between January 19 and 21, several deportations occurred within a 48-hour period.
From Saudi Arabia, 47 people were deported for reasons including visa problems, blacklisting, overstaying, and working without a sponsor. Specific cases included one person deported for missing an online visa, another for visa cancellation, and one for denial of re-entry. Other reasons included begging, lost passports, overstaying, blacklisting, working without sponsors, and complaints from sponsors.
The US deported two individuals who were traveling with emergency documents.
In Zimbabwe, three people were deported after being stopped by immigration authorities. Six others were deported from countries like Cyprus, Pretoria, Qatar, Uganda, and China.
The UAE deported 103 Pakistanis, all of whom had been jailed, using emergency travel documents.
Senegal sent back two Pakistanis who were victims of human trafficking.
Earlier this month, 258 Pakistanis were deported from seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China. Among these, 14 had regular Pakistani passports, while the rest were deported on emergency documents. Upon arrival in Karachi, 16 deportees were arrested, including one whose identity raised suspicion, while the others were released after questioning.
