Al Ain Dates Festival Begins in UAE
The Al Ain Dates Festival has started in the city of Al Ain, UAE, under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister. The festival, organized by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, will run until January 8. It aims to celebrate the palm tree as a symbol of Emirati heritage and promote the cultural and economic potential of Al Ain City.

On the first day, the festival received 2,025 kilograms of dates from 27 participants in the "Elite Al Ain" competition. Additionally, 600 boxes, totaling 2,000 kilograms, were presented for a date auction. The event features seven date competitions, each focusing on a different variety, with 70 prizes worth AED 1.756 million up for grabs.
