Yashasvi Jaiswal Praises Rohit Sharma After India’s Win Over Bangladesh in Kanpur
Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], October 2: After the second Test match against Bangladesh in Kanpur, India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal praised captain Rohit Sharma for his inspiring approach in the dressing room. Jaiswal said that Rohit’s efforts motivate others to achieve incredible things. India secured a 2-0 series win with a seven-wicket victory in the second Test.
In a video shared by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jaiswal expressed his admiration for Rohit Sharma. He said, “It’s just incredible. He is one of the best, seeing him, how he works and how he talks in the dressing room, into the huddles and the approach he has on the ground. The way he has been putting efforts, I think it is incredible, and it motivates me a lot to see him on such a big level and doing things incredibly like the way… I am lucky to be here and getting all the experience.”
Jaiswal added that it was clear in the dressing room before the start of the fourth day of the Kanpur test that the team would set a target. “I think it was clear in the dressing room that we are going to set a target and we are going to play like that. I think our intent was unbelievable in the way Rohit Sharma played, and I also got the same confidence that I can get from the first over, and I was just trying and I was playing my shots where I can score runs, and I did, and I really enjoyed it,” he added.
