Vinesh Phogat, a celebrated Indian wrestler, visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab, to seek strength and positive energy. She prayed to Waheguru for strength after a challenging month in her wrestling career.

Vinesh reached the final of the women’s 50kg event but was disqualified for breaching the weight limit. Following this, she announced her retirement from wrestling and appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) for a joint silver medal, which was eventually dismissed.

Despite not winning a medal, Vinesh received a warm welcome from thousands of fans in her hometown, Bhiwani. She was greeted with garlands and flowers, and many people gathered to see her and take selfies.

In a social media statement, Vinesh hinted at a possible return to wrestling, expressing that under different circumstances, she could see herself competing until 2032.
