Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Pays Tribute to State Movement Martyrs
On Wednesday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tribute to the martyrs of the Uttarakhand state movement by offering flowers at Shaheed Sthal Kachhari in Dehradun. He honored the activists who sacrificed their lives for the creation of Uttarakhand and emphasized the government’s ongoing efforts to develop the state according to their dreams.
Dhami stated that rapid progress is being made in every field to make Uttarakhand an ideal state. He shared photos of the event on social media platform X, expressing his heartfelt salute to the martyrs whose sacrifices led to the formation of the state.
Earlier, CM Dhami also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary and to Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 120th birth anniversary. He reiterated the commitment to making this decade the decade of Uttarakhand, focusing on all-round development in line with the dreams of the state movement martyrs.
Uttarakhand became a separate state on November 9, 2000, following the approval of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Bill by then President K R Narayanan.
