US President Biden and Vice President Harris Monitor Iranian Attack on Israel

US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are closely monitoring the Iranian missile attack on Israel from the White House Situation Room. They are receiving regular updates from their national security team.

President Biden has directed the U.S. military to assist in Israel’s defense against Iranian attacks and to shoot down missiles targeting Israel. On Tuesday, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, escalating the conflict in the Middle East.

The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) reported that all Israeli civilians are in bomb shelters as rockets from Iran are fired at Israel. Hezbollah, upset that the IDF exposed their plans, decided to target innocent civilians by firing a barrage of rockets. According to the Jerusalem Post, 102 missiles have been launched towards Israel, and sirens continue to sound across the country.

The IDF stated that around 10 million civilians are the targets of Iranian projectiles. Earlier in the day, the IDF began limited, localized, and targeted ground raids against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. These operations are based on precise intelligence and are supported by the Israeli Air Force and IDF Artillery.

The IDF’s operations, named Operation ‘Northern Arrows,’ will continue according to situational assessments and in parallel to combat in Gaza and other areas. This follows recent escalations, including the killing of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike and Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
