On December 21, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Rammohan Naidu Kinjarapu inaugurated the Centenary Celebrations of Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport. As part of the celebration, the UDAN Yatri Cafe was launched, offering affordable food options to enhance passenger experience. This initiative is part of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and AAI's transformative projects.
Additionally, a Centenary Postal Special Cover, My Stamp, Souvenir Coin, and a coffee table book showcasing India's cultural heritage in modern airport architecture were unveiled. A photo exhibition displaying rare images of Kolkata Airport's history was also opened.
The event included a signature campaign with heartfelt messages, floral tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, and a tree plantation ceremony.
