Vaishnaw stated, "PM Narendra Modi believes that the country's development will occur through Eastern India's progress. Therefore, he has initiated various projects in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, with a focus on Eastern India, particularly Odisha."
He revealed that railway projects worth Rs 73,000 crores have been approved in Odisha, with Rs 20,000 crores sanctioned in the current term alone. Additionally, Vaishnaw announced that Doordarshan will broadcast news in the Santhali language weekly, benefiting tribal communities.
President Droupadi Murmu laid foundation stones for three rail lines and other projects in Odisha, aligning with the 'Purvodaya' vision. She expressed pride in her Odisha roots and highlighted the benefits of these projects for transportation, commerce, and healthcare.
President Murmu also mentioned the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential Schools for tribal children, with over 100 new schools in Odisha, including 23 in Mayurbhanj district, to aid in societal and national progress.
