Fatal Collision in Vijayapura, Karnataka

In a tragic accident in Vijayapura, Karnataka, five people lost their lives when their car collided with a sugarcane harvesting machine. The incident occurred near Bilebhavi Cross under the Talikoti police station limits as the victims were returning from Yadgir district. The collision was so severe that the car was completely mangled, and a JCB machine was needed to extricate the bodies. The deceased were identified as Shanthava Shankar Patil, Sasikala Jainapura, Ningappa Patil, Bhimashi Sankanala, and Dilip Patil, all from Aliabad, Vijayapura. Their bodies have been sent to Bagewadi Government Hospital for post-mortem examination, and an investigation is underway.

Accidents in Kannauj and Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh

In Uttar Pradesh, two separate accidents claimed 13 lives. In Kannauj, a double-decker bus collided with a water tanker on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, resulting in eight deaths and 19 injuries. The bus was traveling from Lucknow to Delhi. SP Amit Kumar confirmed the details, stating that the injured are receiving treatment. In Chitrakoot, six people died, and five were injured when a vehicle carrying 11 people collided with a truck. The group was returning from Prayagraj after a family ritual. SP Arun Kumar Singh provided information on the incident.
