Sophie Primas Visits India to Strengthen Indo-French Business Ties
Sophie Primas, the Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals Abroad, is visiting India from November 27 to 29. Her visit aims to enhance business and innovation ties between India and France. On November 27, she will meet with Piyush Goyal, India's Minister of Commerce and Industry, in Delhi to discuss improving business and investment flows between the two countries. They will also open the France-India CEOs Forum, co-chaired by Paul Hermelin of CapGemini and Hari Bhartia of Jubilant Life Sciences.
Later, Primas will address the 2024 Asia-Pacific Forum of Foreign Trade Advisers of France and present the Grand Prix VIE Asia-Pacific award to young business professionals. On November 28, she will travel to Chennai to meet T R B Rajaa, Tamil Nadu's Minister of Industry, to discuss strengthening economic ties. She will also visit the R&D Centre of Saint Gobain at IIT Madras Research Park.
On November 29, Primas will inaugurate a new French international school in Chennai and visit Puducherry to meet the Lieutenant Governor, M K Kailashnathan. She will lay a wreath at the French War Memorial and visit the Lycee francais international de Pondichery to interact with the school community.
