Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival 2025: Celebrating Innovation
The eighth edition of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) 2025 in the UAE highlighted the region's startup ecosystem with the SEF x 1 Tank Startup Pitch Competition. The competition awarded AED 200,000 in cash prizes and offered up to AED 500,000 in investment opportunities. The winners included Solumar in Sustainability, Gam3s.GG in Creative Industries, Hulexo in Tech and Industry 4.0, and Squirrel Education in EdTech.
SEFFY Awards and Key Highlights
The SEFFY Awards recognized significant contributions to entrepreneurship. The Waste Lab won the Social Impact award, Pulse IoT Technologies was honored in Tech, BEEAH Group received the Ecosystem Enabler award, Remal was named Rising Star, and Dr. Mohamed Al Hemairy was awarded Outstanding Mentor.
Sharjah Entrepreneurship Centre (Sheraa) received over 400 nominations, reflecting the region's enthusiasm for innovation. Gregg Pearce from du emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship, while Abeer Al Amiri from Sheraa highlighted their support for over 450 startups since 2016.

This year's SEF featured over 300 speakers from 45 countries, 250 activations, and five stages, marking it as the largest event of its kind in the region.
