Earlier, the Rahman Baba Express, traveling from Karachi to Peshawar, also experienced a derailment at Drigh Road Station due to a broken coupler. This incident blocked the mainline, causing significant delays. The Pakistan Express was the first to resume operations after a two-hour delay.
Ongoing Efforts
Efforts are being made to clear the tracks and restore normal train operations. Several trains, including the Karakoram Express and Business Express, faced delays. In September, the Sir Syed Express also derailed near Rohri railway station, but no casualties were reported.
