S Jaishankar Launches Yoga Protocol in Laos and Discusses Key Issues at ASEAN Meetings
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar launched a common yoga protocol in the Lao language in Vientiane, developed by the Art of Living Chapter. He expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Lao friends and the Art of Living for making yoga more accessible, representing the true spirit of International Day of Yoga.
Jaishankar also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on the sidelines of ASEAN meetings to discuss bilateral ties and exchange views on regional and global issues. He shared this update in a post on X.
Additionally, Jaishankar called on Laos Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and raised the issue of the trafficking of Indian nationals through cyber scam centers. He appreciated the ongoing cooperation of the Lao PDR government in rescuing and providing relief to Indian citizens. He also discussed this matter with the Foreign Ministers of Cambodia and Thailand.
On the sidelines of ASEAN events in Vientiane, Jaishankar held meetings with his counterparts from South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and the European Union.
