RTI Activist Snehamayi Krishna Summoned by ED in MUDA Scam Involving Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah

The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has summoned RTI activist and petitioner Snehamayi Krishna to appear on October 3 with documents related to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. This follows Krishna’s email complaint against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

On Monday, Krishna called for comprehensive investigations into alleged corruption involving over Rs 5,000 crore related to MUDA. He highlighted ongoing corruption since 2015 and requested inquiries by both the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the ED.

Krishna stated, “There is huge corruption in MUDA. We have requested a CBI inquiry and an ED inquiry into this. Siddaramaiah is just an example; since 2015, there has been much corruption in the case.”

The ED has registered an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, linked to the MUDA scam. Following this, Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi, offered to surrender 14 plots allotted to her by MUDA.

The Mysuru Lokayukta initiated an inquiry into the case after a court order on September 27. The Lokayukta is investigating allegations of illegal allotment of 14 sites worth Rs 56 crore to Parvathi in Mysuru city.
