Pakistan PM's aide Sanaullah blames Imran Khan's party for ending talks with govt
Rana Sanaullah Blames PTI for Ending Talks with Pakistan Government
In Islamabad, Pakistan Prime Minister's Adviser on Public and Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has accused the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of ending negotiations with the government. He stated that the government is not responsible as they were willing to continue talks. The discussions, which began in December, aimed to reduce political tensions between PTI and the PML-N-led government.
Rana Sanaullah explained that the government had requested seven working days to respond to PTI's demands, with plans to meet again on January 28. However, PTI founder Imran Khan called off the talks due to the government's failure to form a judicial commission within the promised timeframe. Sanaullah suggested that PTI wanted to exit the talks and blamed them for not allowing issues to be resolved.
He emphasized the importance of dialogue in democracy and expressed confidence that issues would be resolved if political parties came together. He dismissed the idea that PTI ended talks due to a new opportunity, stating that any political discussions should occur between political forces or the opposition and government.
Sanaullah also mentioned that the government would not permit PTI to hold protests in Islamabad, as they have accepted their role in Parliament after the general elections.
