Rajasthan CM Bhajanlal Sharma Hosts CPSEs to Boost Business Opportunities
New Delhi, India – October 1: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma recently hosted senior officials from Central government-owned Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) in New Delhi. He encouraged them to explore new business opportunities in Rajasthan. During the event, several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with both private and public sector companies, including leading CPSEs like Indian Oil, NTPC Green Energy Limited, NHPC, THDC India, Oil India, and Indraprastha Gas.
The MoUs covered a range of sectors such as Renewable Energy, Power Transmissions, Oil and Gas, CNG, Logistics, Cement, and Agrotech. The Rajasthan government delegation showcased the state’s emerging business scenario and investment opportunities, highlighting key business-friendly changes being implemented.
Officials from over 50 central public sector enterprises participated, including Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Electronics, Container Corporation of India, NTPC, SAIL, IREDA, PGCIL, Indian Oil, Solar Energy Corporation of India, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), Fertilizer Corporation of India (FCI), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME), IRCTC, Agriculture Skill Council of India (ASCI), Automotive Skills Development Council, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), FICSI (Sector Skill Council for Food Processing Industries), and Management & Entrepreneurship and Professional Skills Council (MEPSC).
Rajneesh Narang, Chairman & Managing Director of HPCL, praised the Rajasthan government for its pro-business reforms, citing the Barmer refinery as an example. Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), spoke about the emerging opportunities in defense manufacturing in Rajasthan. Sanjay Swarup, Chairman and Managing Director of CONCOR, emphasized the need for sustainable and environment-friendly transport modes like LNG.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted the key fiscal incentives and steps taken for ease of doing business in Rajasthan. He emphasized the state’s potential in sectors like renewable energy, defense manufacturing, petrochemicals, and tourism. Industry and Commerce Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore discussed the goal of doubling Rajasthan’s economy in the next five years and creating new employment opportunities. Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and Principal Secretary (Industries) Ajitabh Sharma also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the strategic advantages of investing in Rajasthan.
The CM-led delegation also hosted ambassadors from different countries and held one-on-one meetings with senior officials from companies like Microsoft, Tata Power, DCM Shriram, Avaada Group, Escorts Kubota, Titagarh Rail Systems, Dalmia Cements Bharat, Shree Cement, Samtel Avionics, and Jackson Group.
