AIIMS Delhi's Response
Dr. Rima Dada, spokesperson for AIIMS Delhi, responded by emphasizing the hospital's commitment to providing top-quality treatment to 18,000-20,000 patients daily. She clarified that the video does not confirm if all individuals shown are AIIMS patients.
Efforts to Improve Patient Experience
Dr. Dada highlighted AIIMS's efforts to reduce patient waiting times through facility expansion and operational improvements. New wards and 24/7 diagnostic services have been introduced, along with smart cards for patients. The Vishram Sadan offers accommodation for patients and their attendants.
Clarification on Video
The video, according to AIIMS, shows a subway outside the hospital managed by Delhi police. AIIMS policy allows one attendant per patient, with accommodations available at Vishram Sadans. AIIMS has also established a temporary shelter, "Aashrey," for patients awaiting registration, providing food, bedding, and transport to the hospital.
