In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, spokesperson for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), announced the party's commitment to ongoing protests until the current government is removed. Speaking in Peshawar, he emphasized the right to protest and criticized the government for filing false cases against PTI leaders, including himself.
Saif, alongside Shibli Faraz, highlighted PTI's dedication to demonstrations, stating that sit-ins and rallies are integral to their movement. He also mentioned the party's openness to dialogue, although no discussions with the government are currently taking place.
Addressing security issues, Saif pointed to historical challenges in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, attributing them to past conflicts. He dismissed claims that PTI has worsened security, blaming the federal government for failing to maintain peace.
In Kurram, a grand jirga has been organized to promote peace, and orders have been issued to dismantle bunkers. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur visited an injured PTI worker, condemning the violence against protestors and promising support for the injured.
