Prime Minister Modi to Inaugurate Gwalior’s First Cattle Dung Biogas Plant on Gandhi Jayanti
Gwalior, a city in Madhya Pradesh, India, is preparing to open a new Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plant that uses cattle dung. The plant, which can process 100 tonnes of dung per day, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 2, Gandhi Jayanti.
Location and Construction
The CBG plant is located at Adarsh Gaushala, the largest cowshed in Gwalior, which houses over 10,000 cattle. The plant was built by Indian Oil Corporation at a cost of Rs 33 crores and covers an area of four acres.
