Prime Minister Modi Inaugurates Schools and Launches Development Projects in Jharkhand
Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of education for the tribal community during his visit to Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. He inaugurated 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools and laid the foundation for 25 more.
Modi also launched the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, aimed at developing 63,000 tribal villages with an outlay of Rs 80,000 crore. This scheme is expected to benefit over 5 crore people.
Thousands of poor people in Jharkhand have received pucca houses under the PM Awas Yojana. Modi’s visit marks his second trip to Jharkhand in 17 days, following his previous visit to Jamshedpur.
In addition to the schools, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for various projects worth over Rs 83,300 crore in Hazaribagh. Jharkhand is expected to hold elections for its 81-member legislative assembly by December 2024.
