These projects represent a major step forward in enhancing India's manufacturing capabilities and economic growth.
The hydropower projects in the Northeast will be developed through Joint Venture collaborations between state entities and Central Public Sector Undertakings, with a cumulative hydro capacity of approximately 15,000 MW. The scheme will be funded through 10% Gross Budgetary Support from the Ministry of Power's total budget.
