PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Reviews Karachi Stadium Upgrades
Karachi, Pakistan – On Wednesday, Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), visited Karachi’s National Stadium to inspect the ongoing upgrades in preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy next year. The PCB is ensuring that the stadiums hosting this prestigious event meet international standards.
Stadium Improvements
During his visit, Naqvi noticed that the electronic screen was obstructing some fans’ views and instructed that it be moved higher. “We want fans to have an uninterrupted view of the matches, so adjusting the screen placement is a priority,” Naqvi stated.
Additionally, Naqvi suggested relocating the parking area closer to the stadium to enhance fan access and convenience. He also urged the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) to expedite the renovation work to ensure timely completion.
ICC’s Approval
Last week, the International Cricket Council (ICC) expressed satisfaction with the PCB’s detailed briefing on the arrangements. During an ICC meeting, Naqvi and PCB officials assured the ICC board members that the upgrades to the three stadiums hosting the event would be completed on time.
