Nora Fernandes Joins Kerala Blasters FC: Aiming for Trophies in ISL

New Delhi, India – Kerala Blasters FC has signed goalkeeper Nora Fernandes, who is determined to win every trophy in the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) season. The club is focused on building a strong team to challenge for titles, especially after the departures of Karanjit Singh and Lara Sharma. They have added young goalie Som Kumar and Nora Fernandes as their third goalkeeper, alongside Sachin Suresh.

The 25-year-old Fernandes, who had an impressive season with I-League side Aizawl FC, has signed a three-year deal with Kerala Blasters. He played 17 games and kept five clean sheets in the 2023-24 I-League season. In an interview, Fernandes expressed his gratitude to the club and excitement about playing in front of the passionate fans in Kochi.

“It’s a big opportunity for me to sign with Kerala Blasters FC. They gave me this opportunity, so I have to thank them,” said Fernandes. He added, “Kerala Blasters FC have a big fan following, and everyone is very good here in Kerala. I’m looking forward to playing in front of these fans.”

Under new management, Kerala Blasters are determined to win their first silverware. Fernandes is committed to giving his best and helping the team succeed. “I have to win all the trophies with this club, and I have to give my best,” he stated.

The club has also signed other young talents like R. Lalthanmawia, Likmabam Rakesh, Naocha Singh, and Som Kumar. Under the guidance of Mikael Stahre, the Blasters aim to build a core group of young players. Fernandes feels privileged to be part of this talented group and is inspired by his father’s support throughout his career.

“My biggest inspiration is my father. He guides me all the time. He used to take me to the ground, and he has shown me how top players are playing and motivated me to do my best,” Fernandes shared.
