Mysuru Lokayukta Investigates Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah in MUDA Land Scam
The Mysuru Lokayukta has officially started an inquiry into the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land allotment scam. This follows an FIR filed on September 27 against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others. The FIR alleges that MUDA illegally allotted 14 sites to Siddaramaiah’s wife in Mysuru city.
The FIR was filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 351, 420, 340, 09, and 120B. The Mysuru Lokayukta sent their first notice to social activist Snehamayi Krishna, one of the complainants. Krishna has called for a comprehensive investigation and is ready to provide necessary documents.
The investigation was ordered by a Special Court in Bengaluru, which directed the Lokayukta to investigate the allegations. The BJP has demanded Siddaramaiah’s resignation, accusing the Congress party of supporting corrupt leaders. However, Siddaramaiah has refused to resign.
