Mumbai Police Uncover Plot Behind Baba Siddique’s Murder
In Mumbai, Maharashtra, the police have revealed details about a conspiracy to kill Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader. The plan, which began three months ago, was orchestrated in Pune. The Mumbai Crime Branch has recorded statements from over 15 individuals related to the case.
Details of the Conspiracy
The fourth accused, Harish, acted as a middleman. He facilitated the transfer of Rs 2 lakh from Praveen and Shubham Lonkar, who are absconding, to the shooters Gurmel Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap. Harish, who has lived in Pune for nine years, also provided two mobile phones to the shooters. The accused used a social media app for communication.
Shooting Incident
Gurmel Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap learned shooting skills from YouTube videos. Baba Siddique was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar, sustaining two gunshot wounds to the chest. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where he passed away on Saturday night. His last rites were conducted with full state honors at Bada Qabrastan in Mumbai.
