Although the government extended Raja's term through the 26th Constitutional Amendment, Rehman stressed the need for consultation on this issue.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi supported Rehman's views, emphasizing the importance of protecting constitutional rights and demanding the release of political prisoners. The opposition leaders agreed on the necessity of a government that truly represents the people's will.
Pakistan's 12th national general election on February 8 last year faced allegations of rigging and internet shutdowns. PTI plans to observe a black day on February 8 to protest the alleged "stolen mandate" and intends to hold a public gathering at Minar-i-Pakistan.
