Abu Dhabi's Liwa Caravan Parks Set to Make History
Liwa Sports Club in Abu Dhabi is planning to enter the Guinness World Records for having the largest serviced caravan parking area. This follows the success of the Liwa International Festival, which ended on January 4 at Moreeb Dune. The Liwa Caravan Parks, which started in 2017, have become a top spot for camping fans worldwide.
The parks opened in 2018 during the Liwa International Festival, initially accommodating 144 caravans. By 2019, the capacity doubled to 296 caravans, and in 2021, it increased to 448 caravans with added services and an electronic booking system via the club's app.
In 2022, the capacity rose to 592 caravans. A major expansion in 2023 included a paved road, sports fields, and public facilities, boosting capacity to 840 caravans. In 2024, the club enhanced the visitor experience with a unified electronic booking system, eco-friendly golf carts, and a safe, quiet environment for all.
The club's management aims to make Liwa Caravan Parks a leading global destination and a model for recreational caravan facilities.
