Focus on Cadet Training and Syllabus Update
Lieutenant General Gurbirpal Singh, the Director General of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), announced that the main focus of the NCC Republic Day Camp 2025 is to prepare cadets for 'Viksit Bharat'. He emphasized the importance of training cadets to understand their responsibilities towards the nation and how a disciplined workforce can contribute to national growth. To align with this vision, a 20% change in the syllabus has been implemented.
Expansion in Border and Coastal Areas
The DG highlighted the completion of NCC expansion in border areas, targeting three lakh new cadets, with the enrolment process already underway. Additionally, the naval unit has expanded under the coastal area initiative, with progress in Lakshadweep.
Record Participation of Girl Cadets
This year's camp will see the largest participation of girl cadets, with 917 out of 2,361 cadets from all 28 states and eight union territories participating at the Cariappa Parade Ground.
