In Chikkaballapur, the raid focused on Krishnaveni MC, a Senior Geologist in the Department of Mines and Geology. In Mandya, Mahesh, the Managing Director of Kaveri Neeravai Nigama in the Surface Water Data Centre Bengaluru, was targeted. Other officials under scrutiny include NK Thippe Swamy, Director of Town and Country Planning, and Mohan K, Excise Superintendent in Bengaluru City.
This is not the first time the Karnataka Lokayukta has conducted such operations. In July, they raided 54 locations across six districts, including residences of officials in Bangalore City, Bangalore Rural District, Shimoga, Yadagiri, and Tumkur. Notable officials raided included CT Muddu Kumar, Additional Director of Industries and Commerce Department, and Ramesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Commercial Tax.
