Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah’s Wife Offers to Return Controversial Plots Amid Allegations

Mysore (Karnataka), September 30: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is facing allegations of money laundering linked to the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land allotment case. In response, his wife, Parvathi, has written to the MUDA Commissioner, offering to surrender 14 plots that were allotted to her.

Parvathi explained in her letter that the plots were given as compensation for the authority using her land without acquisition. She expressed her desire to return the plots to avoid tarnishing her husband’s reputation. She emphasized that her decision was made independently and not discussed with her family.

Parvathi stated, “My husband, Siddaramaiah, has always followed ethics in his 40-year-long political career. I never wanted to embarrass him. I am hurt by the allegations and have decided to return the plots.”

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case against Siddaramaiah, and the Lokayukta Police have filed an FIR against him and others. The BJP has demanded Siddaramaiah’s resignation, but he has dismissed these demands, calling for the resignation of other leaders first.

Parvathi concluded her statement by requesting political leaders and the media to refrain from dragging political families into controversies for political gain.
