Israeli security forces successfully intercepted two Palestinian terrorists near Shechem, as confirmed by the Israel Security Agency, Shin Bet. The individuals, identified as Ahmed Zakharna, 21, and Tariq Abu Zeid, 25, are residents of Qabatiya, near Jenin, and members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
During the arrest, soldiers discovered two loaded M16 rifles, vests, face masks, and a significant amount of ammunition in their vehicle. An initial interrogation by Shin Bet revealed that the duo had departed from Jenin and were en route to carry out a shooting attack.
