IDF Chief Herzi Halevi on Holiday Observance Amidst Tensions with Iran

In Tel Aviv, Israel, the Chief of the General Staff of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, announced that IDF soldiers will observe the holiday in various regions including the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Judea, Samaria, and along all borders. Halevi emphasized the importance of bringing back hostages from Gaza, stating that the holiday is incomplete without them.

In a social media post, the IDF highlighted the presence of reinforced forces and heightened readiness during the holiday. Halevi assured that the IDF is committed to fighting and bringing back the hostages.

On Tuesday, Iran launched approximately 200 missiles targeting civilian areas in Israel. Despite the attack, the damage was minimal due to effective civilian response and advanced defenses. Halevi stated, “We will respond; we know how to identify critical targets and strike with precision and power.”

He also mentioned his visit to Tel Nof Airbase, which remains fully operational and continues to carry out necessary strikes. Halevi warned that the IDF has the capability to strike any point in the Middle East.

As the holiday approaches, the IDF is actively striking on all fronts. Halevi expressed his condolences to the families of the fallen and the wounded, hoping for a better year ahead.
