The meeting took place at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai, with Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar also present. The delegation's visit included a courtesy call and discussions on strengthening ties.

During their visit, the Russian delegation also met with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla at the Parliament House. Speaker Birla emphasized the strong friendship between India and Russia and shared India's achievements as it celebrates 75 years of its constitution. He also congratulated Russia on its successful chairmanship of BRICS in 2024 and highlighted the importance of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
