Dubai is hosting the 50th edition of Arab Health 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 27 to 30. Emirates Health Services (EHS) is participating under the theme "Future Health Now" as the exclusive health services partner. EHS is showcasing 19 innovative projects, with 13 being introduced for the first time globally and regionally.
EHS has a special focus on "Family Health and Community Care," highlighting three innovative projects. Essam Al Zarooni, Acting Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at EHS, emphasized the importance of family health in Emirati society. He stated that these projects aim to provide advanced healthcare services to families, enhancing their quality of life.
One notable project is the "Usrati Bundle," developed with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, and the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority. This platform offers services for all stages of family life, including "Premarital Genetic Tests" that screen for 570 genes to detect hereditary diseases.
Another pioneering project is "In-Utero Gene Editing," in collaboration with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This research focuses on correcting genetic mutations in the liver during pregnancy or shortly after birth, targeting disorders like Phenylketonuria and Sickle Cell Anemia.
EHS is also introducing an early detection program for breast cancer using artificial intelligence. Developed with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Prevention, this program uses the "Bexa" device for high-precision tumor detection, improving early detection rates and survival outcomes.
Emirates Health Services (EHS) is an organization in the United Arab Emirates that provides healthcare services to people. They work to improve the health and well-being of families in the UAE.
Arab Health 2025 is a big event held in Dubai where healthcare professionals and organizations from around the world come together to share new ideas and technologies in healthcare.
The 'Usrati Bundle' is a set of services introduced by EHS to help families with their health and well-being. 'Usrati' means 'my family' in Arabic, and this bundle aims to support family life.
In-Utero Gene Editing is a medical technique that involves changing genes in a baby before it is born to treat or prevent genetic disorders. It is a new and advanced way to help babies be healthier.
AI-based breast cancer detection uses artificial intelligence, which is like a smart computer program, to help doctors find signs of breast cancer early. This can help in treating the disease more effectively.
Emirati families are families from the United Arab Emirates. The initiatives by EHS aim to improve the health and quality of life for these families.
