Delhi Police Arrests Three for Supplying Illegal Ganja from Shillong
Delhi Police have arrested Ato Sumi (30), R. Kechyelo Seb (22), and a minor from Nagaland for supplying illegal ganja from Shillong to Delhi. The police seized 4.590 kg of ganja from their room and 12 kg from parcels at the post office.
Details of the Arrest
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police, South West, Rohit Meena, the police received information on September 19 about the sale of illegal ganja by 2-3 persons in Humayunpur Village, New Delhi. A team led by SI Ashok Kumar Meena conducted a raid and apprehended the three accused along with the ganja.
Investigation Findings
During the investigation, the accused revealed that they received the ganja from Shillong, Meghalaya, through the post office. Ato Sumi's bank accounts, containing Rs. 37,45,502, were frozen. The police are continuing their investigation to identify the source and other receivers of the illegal ganja.
