A meeting of the Gram Vikas Board was held at the Delhi Secretariat, chaired by Delhi’s Development Minister, Gopal Rai. The board approved various schemes aimed at boosting development in the capital’s villages.

Project Details

The approved projects include improvements to roads, drains, water bodies, community centers, parks, crematoriums, and playgrounds. These initiatives will be implemented in rural areas of Delhi at a cost of Rs 93 crore.

Commitment to Development

Minister Gopal Rai emphasized the government’s dedication to providing basic amenities to both urban and rural residents. He highlighted the installation of benches in large and small villages as part of the development efforts.

Implementation

The projects will be carried out by the Development Department through the Irrigation and Flood Control Department and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Officials have been instructed to complete the projects within the stipulated time frame.
