Jeeyand Baloch, the group's spokesperson, stated that their "Fidayee" unit, the Majeed Brigade, executed the attack, causing significant casualties among what they termed the "occupying Pakistani army." Unfortunately, Quetta Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zohaib Mohsin and his family were caught in the blast and sustained injuries. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed deep sorrow, labeling the perpetrators as "inhumane" and extending condolences to the affected families. The BLA is known for its frequent high-profile attacks in Balochistan, claiming to have conducted over 300 operations last year.
