The 11th edition of the Camel Trek is underway, celebrating the UAE's rich heritage. This 13-day journey features 33 participants from 17 countries, embodying the spirit of the UAE as they traverse the vast Western Desert.
The trek began on December 9 from the Arada area in the Empty Quarter desert. Participants are making their way to the Heritage Village at Global Village, with the journey concluding on December 21. Along the way, they have passed through notable locations such as Tel Marib, Al Maha Sanctuary, and Al Quo'a.
Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmouk, CEO of the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Centre, leads the trek. He expressed gratitude to national partners like Dubai Ambulance and Dubai Police for their support, emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the UAE.
The caravan covers 45 to 50 kilometers daily, overcoming challenges like sandstorms. Participants, guided by experts, embrace the desert's beauty and silence. Amina Abdullah Al Naqbi and Ivan Kovalenko shared their excitement and learning experiences from the trek.
