The Budgam Police in Jammu and Kashmir have taken a significant step to enhance public safety by installing a GPS tracking anklet on Mudasir Fayaz. Fayaz is accused of aiding militancy in Kashmir, and this action was directed by the competent Court of Law.

This measure is part of case FIR No: 150 of 2022, which falls under Sections 18, 23, 38, and 39 of the UAPA, along with Sections 7/25 of the Arms Act of PS Chadoora. The use of GPS tracking devices in high-profile cases highlights the commitment of law enforcement to uphold public safety.

The GPS anklet allows authorities to monitor Fayaz’s movements in real-time, ensuring he does not enter prohibited areas or leave the geographical boundaries set by the court. This constant surveillance helps deter any attempts to engage in unlawful activities.
