In New Delhi, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi criticized the Congress party for alleged connections to a Rs 5,600 crore drug syndicate. He claimed that the former RTI Cell chairman of the Delhi Pradesh Congress, Tushar Goyal, was involved in the drug haul. Trivedi accused Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi of appointing Goyal, who was arrested with 15 kg of cocaine.

Trivedi presented Goyal’s appointment letter and photos with Congress leaders, questioning the party’s financial and political ties to the drug case. He demanded answers from Congress, especially regarding connections with Haryana leaders like Deepender Hooda.

Police Investigation

The Delhi police are investigating Goyal’s claims of being the RTI Cell chairman and his connections to an international drug syndicate. The police have linked the drug operation to a major Dubai businessman and arrested four individuals, including Goyal.

Additional Commissioner of Police Pramod Singh Kushwaha stated that the police seized over 560 kg of cocaine, marking it as the largest haul in recent times. The drugs were found in a godown in Mahipalpur Extension, and the operation has connections to a Middle Eastern country.
