Bangladesh Cricket Board Announces New Central Contract for Women's Team
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has released the Central Contract list for the women's national cricket team, covering the period from October 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The list includes players categorized into different grades based on their performance.
Grade A Players
The Grade A category remains unchanged with four players: Nigar Sultana Joty, the all-format captain, Farzana Hague, Ritu Moni, and Nahida Akter.
Grade B Players
The Grade B category has expanded from two to six players. Sharmin Akter Supta, Murshida Khatun, and Maruta Akter have been promoted from Grade C due to their outstanding performances. The other players in this category are Fahima Khatun, Shamima Sultana, and Rabeya.
Grade C and D Players
Grade C includes Sobhana Mostary, Lata Mondol, Jahanara Alam, and Shoma Akter. Grade D features Disha Biswas, Sultana Khatun, Dilara Akter, and Shathi Rani.
New Bonuses Introduced
The BCB has also introduced a new bonus system for match and series wins. This initiative aims to reward players based on their performance against teams, taking into account the ICC rankings.
