The government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Indian Army have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the maintenance of the Major Ralengnao Bob Khathing Museum of Valor. This agreement was signed in Tawang, with Chief Minister Pema Khandu present. The MoA was signed by Tawang Deputy Commissioner Kangki Darang and Brigadier V S Rajput of the 190 Mountain Brigade, ensuring the Indian Army will manage the museum.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu paid tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India's first Home Minister, who directed Major Bob Khathing to establish control over Tawang in 1951, integrating it into India. Khandu acknowledged the contributions of Sardar Patel, Major Bob Khathing, and Assam's then-Governor Daulat Ram in securing Tawang for India.
CM Khandu expressed gratitude to the Indian Army, especially the 190 Mountain Brigade, for providing land for the museum and agreeing to manage it. He assured government support for the museum's maintenance. The event was attended by Tourism Minister P D Sona, legislators, and senior Army officials.
