Artists Celebrate PM Narendra Modi’s Birthday with ‘Viksit Bharat’ Theme in New Delhi

Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised the work of student artists at a workshop themed ‘Viksit Bharat’ in New Delhi. The event was organized by the National Gallery of Modern Art in collaboration with the Lalit Kala Akademi.

A large number of student artists and artists attended, showcasing their vision for a developed India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shekhawat appreciated the artists for capturing the aspirations of people for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ on canvas.

Shekhawat said, “The occasion of PM Narendra Modi’s birthday, the whole nation celebrates it as a week of dedication to service and cleanliness. The National Gallery of Modern Art has invited artists from across the country to come and express their thoughts through colors on the same. We expected 600 participants but more than 1,800 came.”

A group of women artists from a private university depicted women’s empowerment and various welfare schemes run by the government for women. Artists used different mediums for their expression, including acrylic paint and oil.

Aryan Pawar, a student of Jamia Milia Islamia, said they were excited about the Viksit Bharat theme. “PM Narendra Modi is working hard to make our nation developed. This is why I am making a portrait of PM Modi.”

Another student artist, Kusum, who studies in a college in Gurugram, said that it was a great honor to be part of this event. Her painting had Chandrayaan with PM Modi in the background.

Sneha, from a Noida-based university, said she has drawn PM Modi as Bahubali of India. “The way he is working is not less than Bahubali,” she said.

Shekhawat also inaugurated the ‘Kala Karma’ exhibition at the National Gallery of Modern Art. The event was held on ‘Vishwakarma Puja’ day. The Modi government has completed 100 days in its third term and has launched a series of initiatives spanning various sectors. The government is keen to make India a developed country by 2047.
