Amit Shah Leads Yoga in Ahmedabad

Union Home Minister Amit Shah celebrated International Yoga Day by performing yoga at Gotila Garden in Ahmedabad. He highlighted that people worldwide have embraced yoga as a daily practice. Shah credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi for popularizing yoga globally, calling it a ‘precious gift’ of Indian culture.

Yoga Events Across India

Several ministers participated in yoga events across the country. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari performed yoga in Nagpur, while Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal joined a yoga event in Mumbai despite heavy rain. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav practiced yoga at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy in Dehradun. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande, along with Indian Army personnel, performed yoga in Mathura.

Prime Minister Modi’s Role

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the 10th International Day of Yoga celebrations at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar. Since 2015, he has led these celebrations at various iconic locations, including the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
