The announcement was made during the Board of Trustees' regular meeting for the academic year 2024-2025, held at the university's headquarters. The meeting was led by Jamal Salem Al Turaifi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the University. The board also approved the graduation of the eighth batch of students who completed their bachelor's programs across the university's five colleges.
The board discussed the university's annual plan for the academic year 2024-2025 and the new strategic plan for 2025-2030. They expressed gratitude to Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Founder of the University, for his visionary support that has helped establish AQU as a global academic center.
Professor Dr. Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of AQU, presented reports on the university's performance, achievements in education and research, and cooperation with international institutions. The board reviewed various committee reports on resource development, academic affairs, and initiatives to enhance students' academic experiences.
