Devotees Celebrate Naraka Chaturdashi at Lete Hanuman Mandir in Prayagraj

In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, devotees gathered at the Lete Hanuman Mandir to celebrate Naraka Chaturdashi, a significant Hindu festival. This festival, also known as Kali Chaudas or Choti Diwali, marks the 14th day of the Krishna Paksha in the Kartik month of the Shalivahan Shak Hindu calendar. Devotees offered prayers to Lord Hanuman, participating in the traditional rituals.

Across Uttar Pradesh, preparations for Choti Deepavali and Diwali are in full swing. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invited everyone to join the grand Deepotsav festival, where a Guinness World Record attempt will be made by lighting over 25 lakh diyas in Ayodhya. Additionally, a record-breaking aarti with over 1,100 participants is planned at Saryu Ghat.

Naraka Chaturdashi commemorates the victory of Krishna and Satyabhama over the demon Narakasur. The festival is part of the five-day Diwali celebration, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil. Diwali, the festival of lights, is celebrated with rituals, decorations, and festivities, honoring the return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana.
