30 New Members Join BJP at Hardeep Puri’s Residence in New Delhi
On Monday, thirty distinguished citizens from various professions joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a membership drive held at the residence of senior BJP leader and Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri in New Delhi. These new members come from diverse sectors such as healthcare, industry, environment, and non-governmental organisations.
The new members praised the work done by the government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past decade. They highlighted India’s transformation, particularly in infrastructure development and economic growth, noting that the country has evolved from a fragile economy in 2014 to being ranked among the top five economies in the world, with aspirations to become the 3rd largest economy soon.
Expressing their faith in the Prime Minister’s vision, the new members pledged their dedication to nation-building and contributing towards the realisation of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Minister Hardeep Puri welcomed the new members, stating that their experience and commitment would strengthen the party’s efforts to shape India’s future.
Earlier in the day, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that 53 lakh members have enrolled as BJP members in Assam, achieving 85% of their target. He noted that Assam is the number one state in the country in terms of membership enrolment, with more than 40,000 members in each of the 71 Assembly constituencies.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the BJP’s 2024 membership drive by renewing his membership on September 2. The drive was launched in New Delhi, with PM Modi receiving his membership renewal certificate from BJP president JP Nadda.
