Youth Arrested in Bhopal for Allegedly Molesting Three-Year-Old Girl

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a young man was arrested for allegedly molesting a three-year-old girl. The incident took place on October 15 under the jurisdiction of Bagsewaniya police station. The girl’s mother reported the incident after her daughter attended a coaching class run by the accused’s mother. The accused allegedly molested the girl when his mother, the teacher, stepped out.

Following the incident, the police registered a case after the minor underwent counselling with the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) and a medical examination. Bagsewaniya police station in-charge, Amit Soni, explained that the complaint was lodged on Wednesday. The police took action based on the minor’s statement and medical examination, registering a case under section 74 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sahita (BNS) and relevant sections of the POCSO Act.

The accused was arrested on Thursday, and further investigations are ongoing.
